Investor Services Branch

This branch is a hands-on marketing team that moves potential investors through a multi-step process, from initial awareness to solving investment impediments, facilitating investment decisions and providing post-investment services.

Investor Services is charged with attracting business in priority industries and sectors. A small team tracks industry conditions and offerings of competitor jurisdictions worldwide. They have broad knowledge of British Columbia's business climate and experience helping investors decide where to locate or expand. They develop compelling information for prospective investors regarding priority business sectors, geographic markets and specific companies. They support the investment attraction efforts of other B.C. ministries and federal government investment counsellors abroad.

Investor Services has an agreement with LINX BC, an association of 25 B.C. communities that pursue new business investment. This results in collaborative promotion, sharing leads, high-quality services to investors and other benefits.

Investor Services is the government of British Columbia’s representative in Invest BC, a broad marketing alliance of agencies supporting efforts to attract new businesses and jobs to the province. Invest BC also includes federal government representatives, municipal economic development officers in B.C., business service providers (legal, real estate, accounting, transportation), utilities representatives and others.
