Scholarships and Internships

Students at post-secondary research institutions are a key link in the relationship between knowledge, innovation, productivity and a competitive economy. Scholarships and internships funded by the provincial government support these student researchers.

Graduate students conduct research, develop knowledge and provide new talent for B.C. industry. They play an important role in the process of transferring and commercializing research in the private sector, and they contribute to B.C.’s capacity to compete in a knowledge economy. The scholarships and internships supported by the Province attract, train and retain highly skilled workers while addressing key environmental, social and industrial research needs.

Provincial investments in post-secondary research develop and advance B.C.’s knowledge. Pacific Century Scholarships and ACCELERATE BC internships promote collaboration between academia, industry and government and help leading researchers apply their expertise to areas that affect British Columbians.
