Highlights: Eliminating overlap and duplications between provincial and federal jurisdictions in emission standards has resulted in business and industry saving time and money. Streamlining and modernizing online processes for citizens applying for interest relief on a BC student loan now benefit with faster decisions that are more secure and reliable. Strengthening licensing requirements for residential builders and owner builders criteria creates a more transparent system to protect the public and raise the level of professionalism in the industry.

Highlights: Introduces citizen-centered Regulatory Reform, including InfoBasket Expansion, Petroleum Titles Online, Personal Supports Information Line, Provincial Sales Tax Review, faster approval process for liquor distribution, and Equity and Venture Capital Programs. Additionally, the criminal record check process is now online, the Business Corporations Regulation was streamlined, BC22 Producer Cost of Service (PCOS) form was revised for efficiency, and the Mortgage Brokers Act Form Regulation was streamlined.

Highlights: reforms made to liquor licences, permits in the Ministry of Forests and Range, gas sales contracts, AirCare Program, vehicle registration, licence, and insurance, Tunnel Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulation, Mineral Tenure Act Regulation. Review committee established for investment funds to strengthen accountability and responsiveness.

Highlights: improved building code, debt collection flexibility, greater consistency in vehicle licensing, streamlined tax refund process, improved Securities Commission documents, reviewing regulatory environment in local governments for accountability and efficiency. Highlights: reforms made to oil and gas regulatory framework, access to information, collector vehicle program, education legislation, and health bodies’ handling of personal information. Hybrid vehicles exempted from AirCare testing. Improved oil and gas assessments, royalties and procedures, non-expiring licence decals, commercial transport, BC-Alberta trade, investment and labour mobility, land title and survey authority, securities legislation, on-road vehicle use, and liquor control and licensing.
